Staying Out of Trouble When Spending Time with Your Gals
Is there anything better than breaking out of your rut and spending time with your girlfriends? Not much! Few people truly “get” you like your closest friends and getting together for a little fun has led to some of the most memorable moments in your life.
Unfortunately, some of those “memorable” nights were a little wild. Simply put, you and the girls sometimes get into a little trouble. Avoid these issues by following these tips.
Limit Your Drinks
There’s nothing wrong with having a drink or two with your friends. However, once you start truly pounding them back, trouble may be afoot. And before you know it, you’re caterwauling “Baby Come Back” out of tune, out of time, and with one arm around a complete stranger’s back.
Make a Plan
Nothing will kill your fun like micromanaging a night on the town. However, if you don’t make a basic plan, you may end up wandering aimlessly without a clue as what to do next.
Decide what you want to do for the night and create travel plans. Is it going to be a bar-hopping kind of night or a movie night? Who’s driving? How are you all getting home? Will there be dinner afterwards?
Taking care of these simple issues will streamline your night and make everything run as smoothly as possible.
Stay Away from the Boys
Whether you’re married, dating, or single and ready to mingle, it’s best to keep boys out of the night. Why? Boys have a nasty way of ruining a perfectly fun girls’ night out and turning it into a competition for attention.
Simply put, if you’re primping your hair and flirting with the hot young thing perched at the end of the bar, your attention will wander away from the night’s real purpose: relaxing with your besties.
